Microinjections (MicroGLO) in Charlotte, NC

Most topical skincare solutions fail to deliver results where it matters the most – beneath the skin’s surface. With microinjections, we place small amounts of skin-enhancing serums beneath the skin’s surface where they can address the root cause of cosmetic skin concerns. At Bednar Cosmetic Surgery, we offer this through MicroGLO treatments, and proudly serve patients living in and around Mint Hill, Wesley Chapel and Charlotte, North Carolina.

What is MicroGLO?

MicroGLO is the leading microinjection facial treatment. In a process similar to microneedling, a variety of skin serums or dermal fillers can be injected beneath the skin’s surface where they can be most effective in refreshing and rejuvenating the skin. This is a more customizable injectable treatment that can improve skin quality in low doses. However, don’t let the term “microneedling” scare you. The MicroGLO device uses needles that are finer than a human hair. This means there is no scarring, pain or long-term skin damage from treatment. Furthermore, the MicroGLo treatment stimulates collagen production for additional skin health benefits.

What are the Benefits of MicroGLO?

MicroGLO is a great treatment option for patients who have not been satisfied with the results from traditional facials and topical skin care products. MicroGLO can be used to address the following skin care concerns:

  • Hyperpigmentation and sun damage
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Skin laxity
  • Skin tone and texture
  • Acne scarring

How Much Does MicroGLO Cost in Charlotte, NC?

The cost of MicroGLO treatments can vary depending on the extent of treatment needed to satisfy a patient’s cosmetic goals. At Bednar Cosmetic Surgery, we encourage patients to come in for a cosmetic consultation so that we can discuss their goals and develop a personalized treatment plan. Then, we are able to provide the exact costs associated with MicroGLO. Be sure to check our specials as we may be offering limited-time deals for this or other treatments.

What is the MicroGLO Treatment Like?

Before treatment, we’ll discuss your skin care goals to determine the skin enhancement serum that will be most beneficial to you. We’ll add this serum to the MicroGLO device, which is a handheld tool that delivers the serum via microneedle injections. To perform the treatment, the MicroGLO device will be maneuvered around the skin and pressed into the skin’s surface, where it disperses drops of serum. This process is repeated until the entire treatment area has been addressed, which typically takes no more than 30 minutes.

Does MicroGLO Have Side Effects?

Immediately after MicroGLO, it’s common for patients to experience some redness and irritation in the skin. This is a natural reaction to the microneedling process. However, thanks to the injected skin serums and the collagen stimulating effects of treatment, these side effects fade within a few days. Furthermore, any side effects are generally mild enough they do not limit a patient’s ability to return to their normal activities.

What Do MicroGLO Results Look Like?

The results from MicroGLO will be visible immediately after treatment, as the skin will appear more hydrated and voluminous upon injection of MicroGLO serums. However, it can take a few days for any side effects to fade and the full results of treatment to become visible. Your results may also vary if MicroGLO is combined with other treatment techniques, such as PRP injections or dermal fillers, both of which can further enhance results to provide more dramatic rejuvenation benefits.
