Facials/Medical Grade Chemical Peels in Charlotte, NC

Facials and chemical peels are topical skincare treatments that enhance skin health and treat a range of cosmetic concerns. At Bednar Cosmetic Surgery, we offer a variety of customizable facials and medical grade chemical peels to help patients get the best results possible. Located in Charlotte, NC, we welcome patients from Mint Hill, Wesley Chapel and the surrounding areas of North Carolina.

What are Facials and Medical Grade Chemical Peels?

Facials and chemical peels are topical treatments to refresh and exfoliate the skin. While there are facial and chemical peel treatments offered at spas and even for at-home use, we are proud to offer medical grade services to deliver more effective treatments for our patients.

Facials are the gentler of the two treatments, which aim to refresh and nourish the skin. Typically, these treatments involve light to no exfoliation, and as such, cause little to no irritation to the skin. Facials are ideal for hydrating and refreshing the appearance on a regular basis.

Chemical peels are more aggressive treatments that use medical grade chemical solutions to exfoliate the skin. These are ideal for patients who want to address cosmetic skin concerns, which can include hyperpigmentation, acne scars and other forms of skin damage. Chemical peels remove the damaged skin cells and allow healthy, bright skin to grow in their place.

Bednar Cosmetic Surgery offers the following facial and chemical peel treatments:

  • HydraFacial
  • The Perfect Derma Peel®
  • SkinPen® Microneedling
  • Dermaplaning

What are the Benefits of Facials and Chemical Peels?

Both facials and chemical peels offer the convenience of skin rejuvenation through non-invasive treatment methods. They can be used to address the following concerns:

  • Wrinkles and lines
  • Acne and acne scars
  • Hyperpigmentation (age spots, sun damage, etc.)
  • Uneven skin tone or texture
  • Enlarged pores
  • And more

How Much Do Facials and Chemical Peels Cost in Charlotte, NC?

The cost of facial and chemical peel treatments can vary depending on the type of treatment performed and the extent of treatment needed to satisfy a patient’s cosmetic goals. At Bednar Cosmetic Surgery, we encourage patients to come in for a cosmetic consultation so that we can discuss their goals and develop a personalized treatment plan. Then, we are able to provide the exact costs associated with facials and chemical peels. Be sure to check our specials as we may be offering limited-time deals for this or other treatments.

What are the Facial and Chemical Peel Treatments Like?

Prior to your treatment, we’ll assess your skin and discuss your skincare goals to develop a personalized facial or chemical peel treatment plan. This can include varying topical solutions of different strengths based on your needs. We’ll start by cleansing the skin to prepare it for treatment. Then, we’ll apply a customized topical solution to the skin. Some treatments require the solution to rest on the skin for a fixed amount of time as it sets in. Afterwards, we’ll cleanse the skin again and treatment will be complete.

Do Facials and Chemical Peels Have Side Effects?

The side effects from facial and chemical peel treatments will depend on the strength of the products used. Generally, facials are a nourishing treatment with no unwanted side effects. In fact, patients often leave these treatments with glowing, refreshed skin. Chemical peels, however, may cause some irritation in the skin as a result of the exfoliation process. Patients can expect redness and sensitivity similar to a sunburn. This can take several days to heal completely, although the exact timeline will depend on the strength of the chemical peel. Patients will need to protect the skin from sunlight, hot water and other irritants in the days following treatment.

What Do Facial and Chemical Peel Results Look Like?

The results from facials and chemical peels will depend on the treatment received. Again, most patients who receive facials will notice immediate results. Patients who receive chemical peels may not notice results until a few weeks after treatment, once the skin has healed. In all cases, patients will eventually notice a refreshed appearance with brighter, healthier skin and a reduction in cosmetic skin concerns. Depending on the reasons for treatment, some patients may need multiple treatment sessions to achieve optimal results.
