Breast Lift or Mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breast tissue, resulting from pregnancy, nursing, and/or simply the force of gravity. Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola. Also, if your breasts are small or have lost volume, especially after pregnancy, breast implants inserted in conjunction with Mastopexy, can increase both their firmness and their size. The procedure will be performed under general anesthesia on an out-patient basis here in our fully-accredited on-site surgical suite. The best candidates for a breast lift are women who have been left with stretched skin and less volume in their breast. Postponement of this procedure is recommended if your are contemplating future pregnancy(ies). Although the procedure does not usually interfere with breastfeeding, pregnancy is likely to re-stretch the breast tissue and offset the results of the procedure. Due to the nature of the surgery there will be some scarring which will be covered by your bra or bathing suit.
